PAAC locations 2018 Colorado Springs

April 19 - Nancy Lewis Park-parking on Melissa Drive, just off of Templeton Gap Road in central Colorado Springs. Fountain, pond, geese, and views of the peak.

April 26-Old North End 1300-1500 Wood Avenue. Private gardens, stay on public sidewalk and out of trafficJ but worth the views, and there should be some nice blooming trees, shrubs, flowers, possibly even early lilacs.

Thursday May 3- Summerland Gardens- 124 East Cheyenne Mountain Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80909 Garden shop and nursery with amazing lilacs and pond. Julie (owner) is teaching a class of 20 people this day, so they will be in and out. We are welcome to set up anywhere outdoors or in the greenhouse and interact with guests or not. Always a PAAC favorite.

Thursday May 10- Mary Welty’s in Elbert, back by popular demand. Address is 11875 County Line Road, Elbert CO 80106. Cattle, horses, wide open spaces. Ahh!

Thursday May 17- Iris 4 U Gardens in Littleton, this one may require a date switch depending on opening of garden for the year, but is a must see, and a favorite for those who have not been. Look up their website and see the acres of fragrant beauty, all Iris. Stay tuned for updates, and even the day before we go, as there have been decimating hailstorms in the past. Your best wishes and prayers for good weather much appreciated! (I will post location once I know they are open)

Thursday May 24- Horticultural Society Demonstration Garden- 222 Mesa Road, Colorado Springs. Parking just across the street at Monument Valley Park. Peonies, Roses, Poppies, Larkspur, and a plant select garden.

Thursday May 31- Heller Center- in Colorado Springs, owned by UCCS, the former white adobe home and garden of 1900’s artist Larry Heller, advertising illustrator, oil painter, ceramicist, sculptor, set designer, and actor. 1250 Campus Heights Drive- directly across from Trader Joe’s on Nevada, and North of the Four Diamonds ball field. Drive through the parking lot and on the south side of the lot enter the gravel road and keep driving until you reach the house and lot. Great views of Eagle Rock, the peak, and interesting architecture and gardens
