May 20 Museum of Nature & Science - 2001 Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO 80205 Set on a gentle rise in City Park, the museum’s west side offers one of Denver’s most iconic viewpoints. The entire skyline stretches before you, framed by mature elms and reflected in Ferril Lake below. On clear mornings, the Front Range mountains Parking: FREE – Free parking in the museum’s main lots and underground garage (arrive early on busy days). Restrooms: Available inside the museum (no membership needed for outdoor painting). Meet: On the west side of the building.
May 27 Denver Botanic Gardens - 1007 York St, Denver, CO 80206 Twenty-four acres of living color and exquisite design. Wander through the serene Japanese Garden, the lush tropical conservatory, and the Woodland Mosaic Solarium. This summer features the Jaume Plensa: A New Humanism sculpture exhibit from April 18 – Sept. 7, 2026 – luminous, ethereal figures set among the greenery. Every turn reveals a new composition of texture, bloom, and light. Admission: Adults $16.25; seniors (65+) $12.50. Free to members Parking: FREE – Limited free parking in the Gardens’ complex between York and Josephine Streets. Restrooms: Available on-site Meet: In the front of the building

June 3 Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, it's FREE to visit! Located just 10 miles northeast of downtown Denver, you can step into nature and see the native wildlife that call the Refuge home. Bison, deer, raptors, songbirds, waterfowl, prairie dogs, and coyotes are just a few of the animals you will see on your visit. Take a nature escape and discover the variety of wildlife and outdoor recreational experiences waiting for you.

June 10 Washington Park - Lawn Bowling Hut (Middle of Park). - Enter off Franklin St & E. Mississippi Ave, Denver, CO 80210
The quieter, more pastoral half of the park. The historic lawn bowling hut makes a charming focal point, while walking paths wind past Grasmere Lake where geese and reflections compete for your attention. Flower Gardens are in full bloom. Distant Victorian houses peek through the tree line, and on clear mornings the mountains provide a postcard-worthy horizon. Gentle summer light and dappled shade make this ideal for plein air work.
Parking: FREE – Parking lot across from the lawn bowling hut; free street parking available.
Restrooms: Porta-potty nearby or walk to the rec center.

June 17 East High School - 1600 City Park Esplanade, Denver, CO 80206
One of Denver’s most photogenic buildings. The 162-foot clock tower – modeled after Philadelphia’s Independence Hall – rises majestically above a tree-lined esplanade flanked by classical statues and a graceful fountain. The warm brick, ornamental stonework, and symmetrical composition practically paint themselves. City Park is just one block away for additional landscape options. Parking: FREE – Plenty of parking lots and street parking in the area.

June 24 Crown Hill Park- Views of Lake, trees, Mountain Vistas. Interesting birds. Plenty of parking and restrooms.
