5/9/25   San Juan River--Root House pkg lot Meet Lise Neer & Laura Lee.  Take 5th St from 160 downtown, around past the grow domes, to Root House parking lot across from Hot Spgs resort Restrooms, refreshments @ Root House cafe   Pavilion next to Tequila’s (main st) overlooking Hot Springs resort, river & main street); Town Park pkg lot; Yamaguchi Park boat ramp @ South end of park (walk from pkg lot; restrooms in the park); Town Hall pkg. lot, trail from river path (restrooms @ Town Hall or the Studios across the street)

5/16/25  Cloud Cap at Lake Pagosa     1.9 miles from jct. 160 & Piedra Rd. From Piedra, turn left onto Cloud Cap; parking lot & restroom on the left, far end of dam.   Lake, fishing dock, trails below dam; views; restroom.   Not much shade; bring an umbrella and/or appropriate sunscreen, hat, etc.

5/23/25    La Ventana / South Hatcher shore   Lise Neer  Turn from Piedra (CR 600) at South Shore Estates sign; pkg lot & shelter on right  Porta-john, picnic shelter, paved parking, views, water, fishing dock, trail. Trail to dry creek bed & cliffs @ west side of dam; views down Martinez canyon; view of Coyote Hill & Pagosa Peak

5/30/25    West Fork Campground   Lise Neer & Laura Lee  Drive east from Pagosa toward Treasure Falls, turn left at Bruce Spruce CG sign (aka West Fork)    tall trees, mountain views, creek, trails; restrooms in CG Camp the night before or drive up and find a parking spot on Friday morning
