Montrose Art Center
PAAC is pleased to offer a unique opportunity for our western slope paint out groups. We have secured the September 2025 exhibit spot at the Montrose Center for Arts.
This will be a non-juried show in conjunction with the local wood workers guild exhibit. It should be a stunning blend of 2d plein air work and glowing wood works... and at a great time of year to entice the visiting tourists as well as the locals who support the Center. Their receptions are usually packed out, so this should be a great show for our local artists to participate in.

August 25th - October 5th, 2025
Desmond O'Hagan is our Judge of Awards for our upcoming exhibit in the fall. Working mainly out of his Denver, Colorado studio, his pastel paintings are recognized world-wide. You may check out his remarkable works at Desmond O'Hagan.
The deadline for entering is June 30th... and yes, we extended the deadline! NO late entries will be accepted. We are using SHOWSUBMIT this year. It is really user (aka artist) friendly. Be sure to get your account and login set up early (like NOW would be a good time!) because if you run into a snag on the last day, it may be too late to get it fixed!
We have some outstanding awards already committed to this show (thanks to PAAC Board member Mike Ray) and Sheila Marie (PAAC all-around techie guru) has been working on the details for the exhibit. We hope to have some fun paint-out activities to offer for week surrounding the opening. Stay tuned and check the website for more information.
Phil Starke Workshop

I am excited to announce the Phil Starke, my painting guru, is coming to Ridgway for a 4-day workshop. He is a wonderful man and a great teacher. I hope to see some of you at the workshop! All levels will benefit.
