Biography
In summer, Lyons lives in Colorado's high country near Grand Lake where she was an elementary art and kindergarten teacher. She spends the colder months in Littleton, where she maintains a small studio. After earning degrees in art and art education and teaching for many years, Lyons is now able to devote more time to her work in watercolor, oil and pastel. She is a member of the Colorado Watercolor Society and Plein Air Artists Colorado. Donna teaches watercolor classes through the Rocky Mountian Conservancy Field Institute in Rocky Mountain National Park. More of her work can be seen at Studio 8369 Gallery in Grand Lake. Her book, "My Kawuneeche: An Artist's Journal in Rocky Mountain National Park" was released in 2015.
