This is a studio/ plein air workshop designed to help you create stronger marine themed paintings. We will learn to draw boats properly, and set them into the water instead of on top of it.  We will work on designing stronger compositions, perspective of boats, painting reflections, and color harmonies for unifying your works. The workshop begins in my studio overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with a talk about materials and concepts. I will demo and there will be exercises to reinforce ideas. We will paint in the studio and plein air, weather permitting; we will at least visit local marinas to obtain reference for workboats, sailboats, charter boats, and harbor scenes. We will paint daily from 9 AM to 4 PM with a break for lunch. There will be an opportunity to order box lunch or you may bring your own. Dinner on Saturday night with the group…details later if there is enough interest. The cost for the 3 days is $300. A materials list will be provided upon registration.
