Painting our way through Mallorca
Join us as we paint in the small, picturesque villages on the magical island of Mallorca, Spain. This trip is led by Cheryl St John, accomplished watercolor and oil painter from Colorado. Cheryl is known for her use of color and luminous light and shadow. She is a signature member of American Impressionist Society and Plein Air Artists of Colorado. Her work has been accepted in numerous national juried exhibitions and she currently shows in several galleries. Our base will be in the small town of Fornalutx, ideally located on the west coast of the island, within close reach to many of the idyllic villages where we will paint! Fornalutx calls itself the prettiest village in Spain and it is hard to disagree! It is a very charming little town that is situated in the middle of the Tramuntana mountain range, surrounded by orange groves, olive trees, and open terraces. The town - with its stunning views over the mountains and the valleys below - has an almost magical quality to it! The week-long workshop will take place May 1-8, 2019. Cheryl is very excited about taking a group to this mysterious island that offers almost unlimited opportunities for plein air painting!
Open to both beginners and more experience artists. Open to both watercolor and oil painters.
